NEW VISION is a family group devoted to God, family, and friends. The trio consists of Trae Turner, his sister, Whitney Smith, and uncle, Jeff Burton. The group was formed in Butler, a town in rural Ohio, where the family began singing together in church at an early age. In 2004, the Lord began opening doors for the group’s ministry and it began to grow beyond their local community. In 2010, New Vision released their first single to radio, "Everythings Gonna Turn Out Right". Their tight family harmony, humble Spirit, and love for God immediately garnered the attention of listeners all across the country.

The ministry of New Vision has only begun.  In 2010, the group released their latest project, "All That Matters", which features two Singing News chart songs, "In Better Hands" and "Temporary Home".  Candi Chandler of Joy FM (GMA 2010 Radio Station of the Year) states, “New Vision quickly came on the Joy FM scene in 2010 with their highly requested single, “Everything’s Gonna Turn Out Right”. Being as heavily involved in this industry as I am, I can’t be thankful enough for a group who has put God as their center and is now being rewarded for their dedication to the ministry!"

Producer, Adam Kohout (AK Music), states, “As a producer, it's a dream come true to work with a group like New Vision! They have that close family harmony that's so widely sought after, and their love for the Lord is evident in the way they sing and the songs they select. Each song we chose for this last project was chosen after much prayer and we felt God had revealed to us a clear "New Vision" for this group. They wanted songs that would uplift the body of Christ and help minister to the wounded. We are honored to have New Vision as a part of the AK Music Family of Recording Artists and I look forward to what the Lord is going to do through this anointed family!”

Although the Lord has allowed this family ministry to grow, their goal remains the same. Whether in a church house or on a Saturday night platform, their goal is to connect with each listener and to share the message of God's love, grace, and forgiveness.

More About New Vision...

More About Jeff...

Jeff Burton, 52, began singing at a very young age. Jeff stated, "I can remember listening to the radio as a kid and trying to imitate every singer that came on." When the Lord got a hold of Jeff's heart, there was no doubt in his mind that he was called to sing. Jeff is featured on songs such as "You're Cries Have Awoken The Master," "Back In The Boat," "The Cradle And The Grave", and "I Wouldn't Take Nothing For My Journey Now."

Jeff was not reared in church. He first experienced church as a result of the Mansfield Baptist Temple bus ministry. He stated, "I was a bus kid and I remember going to church and accepting Christ into my heart." With age and lack of discipleship, Jeff drifted from God's will for his life. In 1977, shortly after graduating high school, Jeff joined the USMC and was stationed in Hawaii and then Japan. In 1981, Jeff returned home and continued his struggle with life and his relationship with Jesus Christ. It was in 1995 that Jeff completley surrendered to God's will. Jeff stated, "Since that time, I have grown in the Lord so much. He has blessed my life and has opened so many doors." Jeff contributes his success to living in the Lord's will and surrendering all he has to Christ.

Jeff resides in Butler with his wife Cathy. A few of Jeff's hobbies include fishing, hunting, spending time with his family, and being a high school sports referee.

Trae stated, "I want to be better equipped to serve the Lord and give him my best. On stage we like to have a good time, but if we have not effectively presented the gospel to folks then we have failed."

Trae's hobbies include jogging, hanging out with friends and family, songwriting, fishing, hunting, and going to concerts.
